Since 1995, Sagittarius Books has been committed to specializing in Astrology Books of all types. Astrology-books.com uses ShopSite's custom templates and custom product fields to to provide product categories and availability information.
When deciding to build and design a retail website, the most harrowing decisions to make are what web designer to use and which software should I choose? Or, more poignantly, what software will give me the stability and security I need for online transactions, without making me compromise the originality of my design? We chose ShopSite Pro for our software product and Designs with Merit (www.designswithmerit.com) as our designer. We're happy to say our choices exceeded our expectations.
I think that most would agree that when committing to invest in an e-commerce site, a tried and true software package is desirable, but a look-alike site design is not. Our choice of ShopSite was based on these criteria, and the fact that, while being reliable and stable, it is extremely flexible and customizable.
Since we are a bookstore, we have a large database of products that our customers need a clear way of navigating through. Merit created an extensive search capability to bring the availability of the product to the customers fingertips. We have advanced dropdown category lists of subcategories, as well as a search via author name, book name, and general searches.
I think we utilized every custom option ShopSite has to offer, which is what we are so pleased with in regards to the product. It's flexibility and advance/custom options allowed our designer the freedom to create a site based on our specific requirements and needs. Merit designed custom templates to carry our professional look and feel throughout the entire site, enhancing the strength of the overall site, and custom product templates so we have the a clean and compact presentation of each book. We utilized all of the additional product fields that are available in ShopSite Pro, so that we could have the options that we chose, not just the standard options (like letting people know the availability of a book, who publishes the book, if there is a review out and more). Therefore creating a truly unique and specialized experience and utilizing the true capabilities and strengths that ShopSite offers to those who want to go the extra mile and create something truly special, which I feel we have at www.astrology-books.com.
Having a professional design enhanced by the flexibility and customizable options ShopSite has to offer has enabled us to create a site that stands above the competition.
