Customizing the Thank You Page Ad

By default, ShopSite Lite displays these ads at the top and bottom of the Thank You page that customers see after completing an order. When a customer clicks on either ad, a new browser window opens and a page from the Open Market Web site is displayed that presents a ShopSite overview.

You can replace each of these ads with your own images, and you can define destination URLs on your own server that describe the benefits of having a ShopSite Lite store with your hosting service. You cannot remove the ads.

To change the ads on the Thank You page and their destinations:

Create one or two graphic images to be used as the ads at the top and bottom of the Thank You page. You can use the same image for both locations, and you can use animated GIFs to attract more attention.

Create one or two HTML pages that customers will see when they click on the ads. These pages should describe the benefits of having a ShopSite Lite store with your hosting service. If you want to use the same destination page for both the top and bottom of the Thank You page, only create one HTML page.

Place the images and pages on your server and note the URLs.

Use an editor to open the global.aa file in the SHOPSITE_DIRECTORY to add the following lines:
lite_thankyou_image_top: <img src="URL">
lite_thankyou_link_top: URL
lite_thankyou_image_bottom: <img src="URL">
lite_thankyou_link_bottom: URL
Note that you can place other HTML tags around the tags for the images, such as <hr> or <center>.

Save and close the global.aa file.
