Product Subproducts
A product template is made up of 3 main sections, DEFINE PRODUCT, DEFINE MORE_INFO_PAGE and DEFINE SUBPRODUCT. The DEFINE SUBPRODUCT section controls how the subproduct is displayed within the product information.
You would first want to add the DEFINE SUBPRODUCT Section to your product template. You can use the same product tags (i.e. product name, price, sku, graphic, etc) in the subproduct section as you would in DEFINE PRODUCT section. You can refer to the folowing pages to setup the layour for the subproduct section.
- Product Name, SKU and Description
- Product Price
- Product Graphic
- Product Ordering Options
- Product Add To Cart Form
DEFINE SUBPRODUCT Example
The second part of the subproduct feature, after you have specified how you would like the subproducts to appear in the product information, is to specify where you would like the subproducts to appear. You would do tis by adding LOOP SUBPRODUCT tags into your DEFINE PRODUCT or DEFINE MORE_INFO_PAGE sections. Below is an example of how the LOOP SUBPRODUCT tags would look within the DEFINE PRODUCT Section.
Note: the '3' in the LOOP SUBPRODUCTS tag indicates how many columns will be created with the subproducts. In this example there will be 3 products on each row. After every 3 products ShopSite will automatically start a new row so you do not need to include the TR tags for the table.
