This sailing regatta is a open-class, 5-race series held on
the windy waters of Merritt Reservoir, 26 miles South of
Valentine where wind speed exceeds 15 mph over 300 days per
year. The beautiful, white sand beaches that surround the lake
are ideal for launching dinghies, cats, and dancing after the
races. VYRA always offers a spectacular meal package in addition
to the great racing. Bring your telescope - stay up all night
looking at the stars, then race all day!
