ShopSite, Inc. Announces New Certification Program for Designers

PROVO, Utah, January 29, 2002 -- The Certified ShopSite Designer (CSD) Program recognizes and rewards some of the industry's best designers who have ShopSite product expertise. Designers that pass qualification criteria will be listed on a ShopSite web page along with links to the store's they have designed, and they can display the Certified ShopSite Designer logo on their website.

"We love ShopSite web designers! We especially enjoy seeing what they can do with our product," said Guy Pribyl, Director of Account Management, ShopSite, Inc. "It is only right that we give these top designers a place to show off their work."

ShopSite hosting (ISP) partners also like the program. Mitchell Smith, CEO of Comcation, Inc., said; "We appreciate companies that recognize expertise. The Certified ShopSite Designer Program gives my designers a way to distinguish themselves as the best at what they do. My designers like having a place to showcase the sites they have designed."

It is not easy to become a Certified ShopSite Designer. As part of the certification process, each designer must submit a selection of at least five functioning ShopSite stores. A panel of experts made up of ShopSite employees reviews each of these stores; the merchant customers are contacted to make sure they are pleased with the store; and finally each store is checked to see if the designer has properly and artfully used the functionality of ShopSite software.

David Hills, CEO of ShopSite, Inc. said, "We wanted to recognize great designers, but more importantly, ShopSite merchants can go to this area and find the best designers in the industry who really know our products. Maybe a small merchant will not initially choose a designer, but as their business grows they can then select from a number certified designers and use their expertise to help ensure that even more customers can find and navigate the merchant's site."

For more information about the program, please email guy@shopsite.com. To review the list of the first Certified ShopSite Designers and take a look at their work, go to www.shopsite.com/csd.html. The list of CSDs will be updated as the designers in our certification queue are processed.
